Nearly 90

A couple of altered numbers I did for my Mums 'nearly 90 birthday souree in June 2011. I base painted them white first with acrylic paint, then pale yellow, crackle glazed them, then daubed off white on top with a mixture of white and gold acrylic. added roses and stickers and a chipboard 'N' for Nell, lace, a gold heat embossed butterfly, ribbon and finally some 'say it in crystals' swirls.

We are the music makers

I loved this Poem, it always seemed fitting when we were playing in the band, dreaming we were famous, and dreaming about this and that, what if's etc... and world losers..... so many musicians I know were, always searching for that elusive dream.

We are the music-makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams.
World-losers and world-forsakers,
Upon whom the pale moon gleams;
Yet we are the movers and shakers,
Of the world forever, it seems

A Happy life

My Son Steve aged about 2, with his favourie toy Golly. This and a little yellow fluffy duck went everywhere with him.

Baby you can drive my car

Me and my son during the 1970's in my beloved old Beetle. Thus the title...(Beatles song.. for those who are not quite as old as me.

Gotchya!

My son Steve aged 2, 1973, in our garden in Newmarket. He was hiding (or so he thought) eating a melting Rolo. The look on his face tells it all....caught out!
